About me

After thirteen years working as a Chef in some great restaurants, including running my own business for the last five years, in 2022 I decided to embark on a completely new career and follow my heart by starting a business based around caring for doggy friends and being a dog walker.

As an active person who loves the outdoors, dog walking is the perfect fit for me. I am never happier than when I am out with a group of dogs all having a good time, even when the weather is wet and windy! I am a keen triathlete and open water swimmer, and feel so incredibly lucky to live in Poole with the beautiful parks, beaches and forests we have around us to enjoy. I truly believe that keeping dogs active and engaged with natural surroundings is vitally important for their well being.

I have two of my own dogs, Tina who is a Bedlington Terrier, and Lyra who is a Romanian rescue dog. These two join in on group walks throughout the week, especially Lyra who accompanies me on almost every walk! We can't wait to welcome your beautiful dogs into the Sandbarks family.

How It Works

The first stage is for me to meet you and your dog for a little 'get to know you' session. This can be done at your house or a place of your choice, and at a time to suit you.

The first walk will be a bit of a trial to make sure everyone gets along nicely as a pack. I can also assess recall during this time and make sure I gain an understanding of what your dog likes and dislikes.

Following a successful trial walk then your doggy will be part of the Sandbarks family! I use a fantastic app to book all my walks which sends you email notifications, and also safely stores all the important data about you and your dog.

Boarding and Daycare

Group Dog Walk

An hour long fun filled group walk with up to five dogs in total. Muddy paws wiped clean before returning and healthy treats and biodegradable poo bags provided.

Puppy Care

Home visits to check on your precious little bundle of fur! Toilet breaks, play time, food/water checks, or anything else your fur baby might require!

Solo Dog Walk

If you have a reactive dog who may not be comfortable in a group then why not book a solo walk. Dogs' needs will be pre assessed to ensure positive experiences. Also suitable for dogs with mobility issues or nervousness.
